Principles and Values for use of Preppydom, LLC Social Media
Please note that all consumer comments and testimonials about our products and their performance that are posted on this site (and other Social Media Sites) are subject to various legal requirements including those imposed by the Federal Trade Commission rules and these guiding principles and values. The Company reserves the right to remove any product performance testimonials posted on this Site or its respective social media pages that do not comply with FTC requirements or our Terms and Conditions of Use
Forums and Public Communication (Social Media) - Restrictions and Description of Prohibited Acts
"Forum" means a chat area, message board, email function or other function which allows you to transmit or submit material to a COMPANY website for display, storage or distribution, offered as part of any COMPANY site or by an affiliated company/organization and/or service provider of THE COMPANY. Where the Forum is provided on a site other than a COMPANY site, you will be bound by the terms of service and privacy policy of the site you have linked to. If you participate in any Forum within a COMPANY site, you must not and agree that you will not through the use of any Submission or otherwise:
1. Defame, abuse, harass or threaten others
2. Engage in any libelous, defamatory, scandalous, threatening, or harassing activity
3. Make any bigoted, hateful or racially offensive statements, including blatant expressions of bigotry, prejudice, racism, hatred, or profanity, or post any obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, excessively violent, harassing, or otherwise objectionable content
4. Advocate illegal activity or discuss illegal activities with the intent to commit them
5. Post or distribute any material that infringes and/or violates any right of a third party or any law
6. Post or distribute any vulgar, obscene, discourteous or indecent language or images
7. Advertise or sell to, or solicit, others
8. Use the Forum for commercial purposes of any kind
9. Post or distribute any software or other materials which contain a virus or other harmful component
10. Post material or make statements that do not generally pertain to the designated topic or theme of any chat room or bulletin board
11. Display material containing pornographic material or adult paraphernalia of any kind, whether viewable by the general public or hidden in password protected areas
12. Display material that exploits, or otherwise exploit, children under 18 years of age
13. Post any content that holds the Company up to public scorn or ridicule
14. Post or disclose any personally identifying information or private information about children or any third parties without their consent (or their parents' consent, in case of a minor)
15. Post any content that advocates, promotes, or otherwise encourages violence against any governments, organizations, groups, or individuals or that provides instruction, information, or assistance in causing or carrying out such violence
16. Post any information, images or content that Designersi.com (in its sole discretion) deems immoral or unfit for general public consumption or
17. Access illegally or without authorization any computers, accounts, or networks of the Company or any of the Company Member, affiliates, users or attempt to penetrate The Company’s security measures ("hacking"), or conduct a port scan, stealth scan, or other information-gathering activity the intent of which is to gather information to be used to attempt a system penetration; or upload to the Company, send through the Company, or have the Company host or distribute any Internet viruses, worms, Trojan horses, other harmful code, pinging, flooding, mail bombing, or denial-of-service attacks; or disrupt the use of or interfere with the ability of others to effectively use the Company Service’s or any connected network, system, service, or equipment .
18. You agree not to impersonate any other person or to use a false name or a name that you are not authorized to use.
In addition, you must note and agree that you will not use a false email address, impersonate any person or entity or otherwise mislead others as to the source of origin of a Submission.
The Company reserves the right to remove or edit content from any COMPANY Forum at any time and for any reason but does not regularly review posted Submissions. Any material transmitted, submitted or otherwise delivered to a Forum shall constitute a Submission and is hereby governed by the terms applicable to Submissions as described herein. When participating in a Forum, never assume that people are whom they say they are, know what they say they know, or are affiliated with whom they say they are affiliated with in any chat room, message board or other user-generated content area. Information obtained in a Forum may not be reliable, and the Company is not responsible for the content or accuracy of any information.
Portions of these pages provide users an opportunity to exchange ideas, documents and information. The ideas, documents and information posted do not necessarily reflect the views of The Company.
Site Forum, Chat Rooms or Blogs
Your postings to our chat sessions or forum are not private. Any information posted in our public chat sessions may be seen and/or collected by others. Therefore, please be careful about any personal information you post via these sessions. If you partake in any discussion forum or chat room, you should be aware that the information you provide there will be made broadly available to others, potentially inside or outside the Company, who have access to that discussion forum or chat room. Each participant's opinion on a forum or chat room is his or her own and does not reflect the opinion of the Company.
Honest Disclosure
We are looking forward to sharing lots of information with you, but we appreciate you understanding that we are unable to share proprietary, financial, and/or confidential information about ourselves or anybody else. We are thrilled to have you join us in this dialogue, and look forward to hearing from you. If you do post on our walls please note: Consumer comments or product testimonials (i) must be based on your honest beliefs, opinions or experiences and knowledge or actual use of the product discussed;(ii) must reflect experiences that are typical of what consumers generally experience; and (iii) must not be unfair or deceptive.
Transparency
Like you, we have lots of friends and partners, so we will be up front so you know whom you are talking to. Posts by employees of Preppydom, LLC will be identified with "Preppydom", and Partner Organization posts with "PTR." We may create a variety of handles, user names, and other IDs to better serve you and build dialogue throughout the organization and the Preppydom community, but no matter what you will always know when you are talking to or hearing from Preppydom, LLC from the "Preppydom” appearing at the end of a post. Likewise, we ask you to disclose in or at the end of your post if you have any "material connection" with Preppydom, LLC, or have received from Preppydom, LLC any free product or anything else that may be considered a thing of value or compensation.
Giving Credit
We want to share good and reliable information. We may highlight the work that others have done, or events that they are planning, and re-share content that our friends, affiliates, or partners have shared with us. In these cases, we will give credit where credit is due and when possible cite the source and link to the content. We will also always respect copyright laws.
Negative or disparaging Comments
Please don't say it. We do not wish to have on this site language that is intentionally harassing, obscene, threatening, or defamatory. We will do our best to refrain from sharing or posting information that is insulting, obscene, profane, or otherwise intentionally harmful or incendiary. We will maintain our Code of Conduct at all times and we ask that you maintain similar standards and comply with the law when sharing with us!
We are a value-centered company.
Preppydom values your input and we would love to hear from you, but we also want to make sure that we are fostering a responsible community, so occasionally we may have to remove posts that violate the law or our internal policies, or are otherwise objectionable. We also ask you to recognize that Preppydom may not endorse opinions expressed by third parties on Preppydom sites. The responsibility for third party content is solely that of the third party, not Preppydom.
Voting
Preppydom encourages you to vote, but we also do not think we should tell you how to do that. We will give you many opportunities to vote for many things, like your favorite product, local community projects, and a myriad of other fun topics. However, we will not endorse political candidates or post information for or against particular political parties, ballot initiatives, or other election issues. We will leave that choice to you, and ask you to refrain from posting such material on our site.
Spam
We believe your time is valuable, so we believe the information and content we share should add value to the Preppydom community. We will not participate in Spam-related activities.
